First, we made a box within the specified dimensions of the task 300x210x210mm.

The box is built from bend plates of 4mm. The gaps between the plates will be welded together for full protection. Thick strong hinges are welded to the left side of the box. On the right side of the box the electronics and components are located, a big plate with 4 screws ensures they are safe but still accessible. 2 permanent rivets secure that if the hinges are pulled upon they will pull upon the entire frame of the box. The door of the box is designed with a smart handle, the handle is an indent with a small piece to grab on to, this makes it very convenient, easy and smart in terms of space used and for the usability of the door.

After we had made a box that fit the measurements, we made the gears that could lock the lid when it was closed. This was done using a button that is activated when the lid is closed. The button is located behind the lock function.

The gears are made as a sketch of two circles where the inner hole is approximately 4.8mm which is the servo motor outer diameter.

After we made the cylinder we could use the Spur gear function to calculate how many teeth the gear should have. When the gear was created we needed to create a pin. The pin was measured so it was capable of moving up and down within the servo-gears teeth.

After the pin and the gear was created, we could insert it to the safebox. Now is it only the button and the lights we need to insert to the box.
